UX / CRO Consulting

UX audits, user journey strategy and support

Optimize your user journey to the fullest - make sure that your users understand what you offer, how it benefits them and where there can find it.

Just having a product is not enough – making sure that the product is presented in a relevant and understandable manner is what seals the deal. Granular’s UX consulting is primarily based on the presentation and availability of information. We understand that users interact with you accross various touchpoints and, depending on the state of their particular user journey, might require different information and functionalities to complete their user journey. We make sure that you cover all of that.

In all these services we cover a wide area of UX. Our narrower specialties are category and taxonomy development, product filtering, product and solution presentation, checkout process optimization etc..

UX/CRO Strategy

01
What is this service?

While UX strategy can come in many shapes and forms, most often it’s the result of our client having a need for major upgrade to various touchpoints across the whole of user journey or a complete overhaul of it. We are in charge of controlling and mapping whole taxonomies, sitemaps and other major portions of the digital property in question.

02
Why do I need this?

UX strategy is most often used in two cases – either a client is developing a new website or redesigning an existing one. The goal is to lay a healthy foundation for all user flow variations, taking in account all the possible digital channels the user might come from.

03
What’s your approach?

Depending on the project scope but we take a deep look at the product catalogue, available user data and data from various digital channels. By combining those, we ensure that the proposed information architecture or usability elements make the most sense from an performance and business perspective.

04
What results are expected?

Increased availability and clarity of information – this will open new possibilities both for SEO and other digital activities, as well as enable the users to better understand your product and increase the likelihood of them converting.

05
What does the project look like?

1

Intro meeting and we send you a strategic document that you fill out.

2

We work out an UX/CRO strategy through all parts, meeting where we review the strategy with you.

3

We plan and ensure the strategy is implemented.

Average duration - Duration of UX strategy project depends on the complexity of the project but they usually last 2-6 months

UX/CRO Audit

01
What is this service?

An audit refers to an analysis of the current state of a property (website or an app) and suggestions for improvement. Business and digital data are analyzed, interrelated, and setting-level recommendations are made on what to do to take UX to the next level. By improving the user flow, clarity and/or functionalities we influence and streamline the user journey and impact the bottom line. The closest description of Granular’s role in that case is: second opinion and suggestions.

02
Why do I need this?

An audit is used when someone has been doing UX for a long time and wants to check the situation from a neutral point of view. Our goal is neither to change the team nor to change the agency, but solely to make suggestions on how this can all be improved together. An audit contains a point-by-point proposal that a specialist or agency can implement and take UX to the next level very quickly. The result of the audit may be, in theory, that every point is well made, but so far we have not encountered this.

03
What’s your approach?

In all these cases, we approach equally. We ask for access from you to the platforms used. We are doing a phase of getting to know your industry, primarily from a business perspective. Then we make a plan and program of how we will lead the project. We work in detail on all the plans that need to be carried out within the project and we support the implementation of these things.

04
What results are expected?

We approach everything neutrally. It is not our goal to increase or decrease budgets on an ad-hoc basis, to change an agency or an in-house team, or to change the entire web site. Our only goal is for the company to make optimal use of available web development resources and to make the most of it. This results in the three most common effects of working with us:

  • Long-term successful results from UX – continuous effect on the bottom line
  • Reducing or increasing the investment in UX based on real results
  • Less workload on UX and more focus on other things
05
What does the project look like?

1

You provide us with relevant business and user data.

2

We develop an UX/CRO Audit based on 180 criteria

3

We plan and ensure the audit is implemented.

Average duration - Audit is usually a 1-2 months project not counting your implementation.

UX/CRO Support

01
What is this service?

Consulting services are support to an existing team or agency around running web or app optimization. We confront opinions with you, give suggestions on a regular basis with continuous monitoring of your properties performance. If you don’t have an UX analyst, we cover that role too – leading agencies or in-house teams. The simplest description is to add another specialist (or manager) to the existing team who does not work operationally, but helps the existing team to do its job even better.

02
Why do I need this?

Support is used in several cases. The first case represents an extended hand to the marketing manager where in this way he hires an advertising manager who coordinates all activities with the agency (or the in-house team). The second case mostly concerns an in-house team (sometimes an agency) that needs a person with whom they can discuss all the settings and results within their advertising. The closest description to that would be sparring.

Depending on the thing you need support with but, in general, increased availability and clarity of information – this will open new possibilities both for SEO and other digital activities, as well as enable the users to better understand your product and increase the likelihood of them converting.
